Young Leaders Cities of the Future
Young leaders of the city of the future is an inspiring social project which gives young people the opportunity to team Legionowa action on sustainable community development – in their schools and the wider public space.
The project is aimed at young people aspiring to be leaders in their environment, with a clear vision necessary changes for the better, the energy to implement them and focusing skills of others around them to work together. Form of organization of young people involved in creating a city of the future becomes the Youth City Council, but we are also opening for other innovative forms.
Activists for the public good have the chance to visit the Norwegian Kristiansand, a village in the government program of the City of the Future, and exchange experiences with their peers.
Who supports this project?
The project is a part of the program Citizens for Democracy, financed from the funds of the European Economic Area. Supervisory organizations are Polish Children and Youth Foundation and the Stefan Batory Foundation.
What will be the effects of actions of young leaders?
Youth will prepare a concept for the establishment and operation of the Centre for Sustainable Development. The inspiration is our Green Center operating in Kristiansand, Norway, which a team of young leaders will visit in August 2015.
Youth under the supervision of the architect will develop two variants of the concept of software sketchy – spatial Sustainable Development Centre, which can be used to prepare the functional program and other materials needed for further studies.
Project proposals will be presented at a seminar summarizing the project activities in March 2016.
adacz Water is an attractive and inspiring educational program that gives thousands of students around the world the opportunity to carry out joint water-related activities for their schools and local communities. It is addressed to students of primary and secondary schools
All of the activities and działaność individual schools / groups centered around an educational portal – http://www.badaczwody.pl/polska. Water Researcher Program is completely funded and supported in 11 countries. It is free to all participating schools. The best teams of researchers in water have a chance to represent their country at the international awards ceremony – in 2015 it is Milan. In 2016, it will be London ..

475 000 students and members of the local communities involved in the program
